Other financing methods

Check out the student loans LGFCU offers. Also, there are many grants and scholarships available for students based on financial need, merit and other special interests.

As a federally chartered credit union, LGFCU cannot participate in the College Foundation of North Carolina programs, but their website is a good resource for information on many college-oriented topics. Visit www.cfnc.org.

You should also talk to other students, guidance counselors, advisors and your parents to get ideas and find sources for educational funding.

School of Government Scholarship

The School of Government Scholarship is for local government employees to apply towards conferences, classes, and seminars offered by the School of Government that may better enhance their job performance. The credit union supports the SOG because of the instrumental role they serve in the development of our membership.

Tuition for classes, conferences, and seminars will be covered by this scholarship. This award has application deadline dates of April 1, August 1, and December 1.
